sleepy marburg

this past week in marburg has felt very slow and long after a hectic week in berlin (which is very fast moving).

it feels difficult to accomplish more than 1-2 things each day outside of class in marburg. not because transportation is difficult, but because the pace of life here just rolls like that.

marburg is located on a hill (which makes for nice walking and nicer views). here's a picture of the oberstadt (over city) which is as quaint and cute as you'd imagine a little german city to be. and expensive.

this past week some members of team america met up with some german high school students so we can be speaking partners. it was really awkward since they were everything you'd expect high school seniors to be, but they were really nice. me and my friend made open ended plans to hang out with one student. we talked later about how we felt guilty about the fact that we have no intentions to keep these plans, and how we're reinforcing the stereotype of american flakyness. oops!

very nice - your blog title seems like an eerie parallel of mine.
