still though, it was worth it because we visited st. pauls church. all students of jeremy king are aware of its significance (meeting of the first german national assembly and the place where they developed the first constitution for a united germany (just an idea back then!)) .

i had a list of things i wanted to do in frankfurt the next dayu, but i wasn't able to get accommodation (apparently there was a famous car show going on in frankfurt that weekend). so i did the next best thing and went shopping and took a train back - there was a bizarre system where the first two cars split off and went to marburg, and the following six (or whatever) went to another town, so i ended up travelling around many train stations in central germany trying to get back to marburg, which i finally did at some ungodly hour.
