the face of america?

i was reading my own posted item on facebook (after i posted it, lol@narcissism) and i was thinking how far obama has come in this election.

i remember talking about obama even back in september/october/november when he was still very much an underdog. a lot of older people (mostly germans but some scattered european nationalities) were surprised. one even said to me: "i thought it was already decided months ago - hillary, no?"

i dont think these people interact with americans much, especially young americans, though they all lived in cities with lots of amis (london, prague, munich). i wonder if as they read the news of obama's surge ahead they remember me and how they met someone who was part of a revolution ^_^
