flash drives as time capsules

i need to print something on my computer downstairs. it isn't picking up internet signal, so i ran upstairs for my flash drive. when i opened the flash drive, i found a series of items that make up a perfect time capsule of my 1.5 years in germany: pictures of loved ones, presentations for school, work, pictures of my india visit, applications for jobs, and a copy of my passport. it almost feels like i am corrupting this perfect preservation by putting in the document that i need now. but life goes on and my gigabyte of space is not nearly used up...
