i havent updated in forever, i know!
true to the title of this blog, stuff has been really intense lately - reseach is moving swiftly, social life is hectic, and german language skills are exponentially better than before.
other than that, ive been applying to jobs, both in germany and in the us. i think im starting my job search a bit late because supposedly the process takes a long time in germany, but i lose nothing by trying.
i heard the cutest thing on the ubahn today. the line goes through the center of berlin (which is today still barren and kind of ugly) and this teacher told her students "da war die mauer" (that's where the wall used to be), and some of the kids looked out the window and were like "guck mal! da gibts auch eine mauer!" (look over there, there's another wall!). hehe.
